    1. I think you are asking if your cushions can be painted? Yes, they can. The results vary depending upon the fabric texture and density. To keep paint from soaking into the foam or filler of the cushion, place a piece of cardboard covered with plastic into the cushion beneath the fabric you will be painting. That way the paint will not keep soaking into the foam. There are many instructional videos about painting upholstery that should help you learn the ropes. Mix one part water to one part fabric medium to one part paint. Spray cushions with water until they are fairly damp. ...Brush paint onto cushion making sure it soaks in. ...When paint is dry, repeat steps 2 and 3. Some people prefer to mix paint and water and spray it on instead of brushing it on. Good luck!

Use a textile paint - sold on line. Otherwise your cushions can be stiff and the paint could crack. Good luck.

The painting instructions Janice shared are great. The one thing Ihave been sure to do first, is to thoroughly scrub cloth with soap and water let thoroughly dry a day or two and then paint.

If the cover zips off and can be washed and dried so much the better. If it’s sewn on and can’t be removed from the stuffing or foam, be sure not to saturate it as the foam can take a while to dry. Usually is the cushion are made for outside the stuffing is tolerant to getting wet and should be fine. But paint will be more uniform and same color all over id the cushion is clean. Spray paint if you can. Rustoleum makes a great fabric spray paint. The best way to use spray paint is to place item in a box with an end cut open and all the throw off paint will stay inside the box, not on you and the yard. Have fun. Love to see after pics.

You can, but I don't recommend it if they are in full sun. You don't want the paint to get soft and possibly ruin clothes. I would make simple slipcovers for them instead, using terrycloth towels/bath sheets, fleece, or heavy duty curtains/sheets
