I think the stand underneath would look fabulous if it were painted with a soft color chalk paint. Perhaps an off white tone. That way it will accent your lovely strawberry carrier.
Sand the sool down so thewood islighter in color and then do a white dry brush or wash over it
Instead of using the stool you can buy cute stool legs (many designs are available) at a DIY store and stain them the same color. Or as mentioned, paint the stool a whitish color to accent the carrier.
Possibly have shorter or two uniformy matched planters and consider painting stool base with chalk or milk paint.
