I use a deep root watering method and all of my veggies grow very large. I use a soaker hose, which is really just a long hose with pin prick holes running down the entire length. When I turn the water on, little streams shoot up from the hose. I use just enough force so that the streams are about 6 inches tall. I am actually watering the soil, and not the plant. The results are amazing.
