Measurements to replace a bedroom door.
Easiest way to measure a replacement door for an existing door jam, is it possible or should I just replace the entire thing with a prehung door and jam? Currently measures a 30" x 80" but a 30"x 80" door is too tight a fit.

Most people I know get the closest fit,then just shave it down a bit to fit. Maybe the store you buy it from could do it for you

To get a professional job I would remove the door and frame and start fresh.
