Laminate Flooring for Wall Covering!

I love the way this accent wall turned out!
The handmade wood sign looks stunning hanging over the laminate flooring.

How did you adhere the laminate flooring to the wall? When you want to take it down, will it pull the paint off underneath, and what about the drywall?

I am also anxious to see if you can stain, whitewash or paint laminate flooring,

I did paint some leftover laminate to see if I could give it that whitewashed barnwood look. Yes, it can be done. It has to be sanded to allow the paint to stick but then you paint it, sand it again slightly to remove the white paint and then add another layer of color, then another. Usually 3 complimentary shades. The top coat can be a watered down grey paint which pulls it all together or off white. I didn't whitewash until the end but I bet that could be done as well on each coat. Best to take a sample of a board and play with it to get the exact look you want. Alternately you can buy laminate that looks like barnwood and if it's on a small wall probably not too pricey.
