What weeds do you have? I boil 2 kettles of water every morning and go out and dribble on weeds, then dig out when dead. Another option is vinegar. Epsom salt and boiling water work well too. In flower and vegetable beds, smother with newspaper, cardboard, landscape fabric, then mulch.
I love the boiling water idea every morning. I dig them up, not sure what they are, but they have long stringers and are interconnected. The water and dig is excellent! Thanks!
Could be any number of weeds. My yards are not that big so if I do a couple kettles a day and dig out dead ones while playing with the dogs and tending to the plants for a bit each day, I do not need to spend hours doing it on the weekends. Even 10 or 15 minutes here and there makes a difference.
Weed cloth spread over a prepared and bordered patch of ground that has been treated with weed killer.... then covered with 2 to 4" of mulch will stay weed-free as long as the weed-cloth stays intact. Plants can be planted through holes in the cloth ... or set on top of mulch in attractive pots.
snakes will live under weed cloth-suggest that you sink pots of mint in places-both snakes and mice hate it,so ,you'll be removing two potential issues-do not plant mint-it will spread everywhere-plant the entire pot in order to contain its spread-any kind of mint will work
