What should go on a bookcase headboard, besides books?

I'm a female adult trying to think of ideas to put on/along my bookcase queen size headboard. Don't want just books, since it's over my head, any creative ideas?

Radio can go there...clock...pictures....I think items that you might place on other shelves.

Most clients I have use a small lamp for reading with those, some use a luminaire candle and some a fragrant room freshner.

If it is in your budget, think about moving the nearest electrical outlet (they are often down low behind the headboard) up to where it is reachable from the headboard, and then replace it with an outlet/USB combo. That way you can put your phone or iPad on your headboard shelf, plug it in just before you turn out the light, and always recharge it when you are sleeping.
