Actually I have two dressers like that one smaller than other but same color same material. Can’t make up my mind , paint, or use contact adhesive paper or something else? Need ideas please.

You could frame out the drawer fronts and sides to look like the doors on Shaker cabinets.. or use molding....change the drawer pulls... after painting

Pinterest.com will have more ideas for you too... a unique wallpaper, stencil... it is a blank canvas for you.

if that is press board do not use a water based paint on it. prime it and use an oil based products- any little pin point opening water based treatments may get to the wood substrate and cause it to swell up. once swollen, you really can't sand it down to level it. personally, i'd do a contact paper. its amazing what you learn when cleaning up after a major flood.

Thank you for your input. I appreciate it. I am sorry to hear that you went thru a major flood. I went thru a small flood a few years ago the hot water tank’s pipes broke. But not to the extent of damaged furniture, thanks again.

in 1993 the city of Des Moines went under water. A good 3 ft of water in the basement and all the cinder blocks were weeping. Summer time thankfully The des moines river had water impoundments at what the engineers thought strong holds....the over flow basins Over flowed.

You can use latex or acrylic if you use a high-adhesion primer on it first, and coat very well. I've used it on MDF kitchen cupboards and pressboard. You could alternatively spray paint it. I would also change the handles.

Some people glue custom cut mirrors over the drawers too.

We took an old dresser and pulled the top two drawers out, painted it and it became a printer table with a storage drawer at the bottom. By putting the printer where the top 2 drawers were it gives us more space on top of the dresser for more storage. It now resides in hubby's man cave.

Hi Guylaine, if you're looking for something a little different you can use old suitcases, handbags, and briefcases to transform a boring dresser. Here's a tutorial that will show you how - https://acraftymix.com/blog/epic-stack-suitcases/
