Any ideas for something to make using an old shirt of my Dad's?

I really don't want to make a pillow cover but that's about the only thing I've seen. The shirts are long sleeve, button up. Thanks

You could make a quilt bu cutting the shirts into smaller pieces...and perhaps incorporating some of his ties

I would make a totebag or you could use it for a bakground in a photo or memory box with other memorabilia.

Yes, I would sew it to the inside of a fleese blanket, using 2 layers of fleese and tying together with knots. When you cover up with the blanket, the shirt facing you ,it's like your dad hugging you. This would be a nice gift for mom as well. There are never ending ideas of who can be hugging who forever 💕

How about a rag rug? Cut up squares of the shirt and join in rows back with filling and fabric . A cosy reminder that can be used on armchair or bed. Plenty of patterns for additional ideas around and it would last for years!

I have seen shirts used for pillow covers which are attractive and maintain a resemblance of the original article. A link is attached. You can find additional ideas on www.pinterest.com. Hope that helps. https://www.onsuttonplace.com/repurposed-shirt-pillow-cover/
