I'm not sure that I understand the question. Watercolor paints can be opaque as well as acrylic paints can be made into a wash. The more watercolor paint (pigment) and the less water will make a water based paint more opaque.
Cant really see thru opaque. Black hose tights are opaque. Most watercolors are sheer.
Do you mean between brands? Generally speaking adding water decreases opacity.
