Best way to get rid of wild violets in yard?

Dig them up before they seed and pot them and use in flower boxes or give away or sell.

It was suggested in my class to by guest lecturer ( county cooperative agent) -to use professional lawn care help as they have the best chemicals to effectively knock them out.

If you are not into toxic chemicals you can try pouring boiling water on them. Good luck. I have tons of Loosestrife and will be trying the boiling water this year.

I have them come up in my garden everywhere. I just dig up and throw away. They are weeds here. If I did not control them, they would take over. Just dug some up when gardening this past Saturday.
