There are so many items, such as, glass, flowers, ribbons, tapes, candles, rope, beads, stones, I could go on, but I have such trouble grouping and can never find anything.

I use small plastic tubs with lids made for the kitchen. I also use medicine bottles and clear plastic shoe boxes. Label everything!!

I find those plastic drawer units which come in many different styles and sizes to be really invaluable in separating all kinds of things. Also just grouping things on open shelving helps a lot. I collect china and I do have quite a bit of storage space in my basement, some of the china I keep in cloth square or rectangular "boxes" that I get at the Xmas tree shoppe for $1 each. I also use plastic crates, Flowers right now I have in a flat basket where they are laid on their sides. I keep candles in a drawer in my d.r. and also in my back hall. I don't worry so much about keeping my goodies in the same place, I am more concerned with knowing where they are. Only limit is my husband and I keep our supplies separated.

The cheap fix is shoe boxes and recycled tin cans that you can cover or paint to match. After you sort the items in their new boxes, you can start to replace each as you buy new bins and bin storage furniture. If you paint the with chalkboard paint, you can always write the new names on them as you change the items in the containers.
