I always recommend books by JERRY BAKER : "TIPS, TRICKS and TONICS" for such things.. old timer who uses items around home . Can of non diet soda, dish soap, epson salts, regular listerine and such. his tonics from our grandparents era. but no chemicals..
Dish detergent and water in a spray bottle. After it rains you need to reapply it. I also love to use natural oils like peppermint oil in a spray bottle for ants.
You may want to check your bugs before you decide to kill them. Some of those insects may be beneficial insects that actually get rid of the bad guys. Otherwise insecticidal soaps are a good option.
