I personally love clematis vines. There are many colors and come-back each year.

This article tells all about them and has many pictures of the varieties.

Depends on where you live, but morning glory seems to grow in most areas. Also check out clematis and cardinal or hummingbird vine. It’s bright red and attracts hummers. Thevine has the look of a fern as it’s “feathery” looking, to me at least. Lots of vining plants need a little training, but one you get them started up the trellis they get the idea. Local nurseries are always a good source for what grows well in your area.

Morning Glory's do well. Soak the seeds in warm water overnight, before planting. I start mine, in the house in Feb. but you can plant directly in the grown. They will just take longer to bloom.

I have two Clematis. They climb, flower throughout the season, and are beautiful.

Clematis, and they will come back every year.

I absolutely adore morning glories! They are super easy to grow and you can easily harvest the seeds at the end of the growing season to plant elsewhere next year. If you don't want to plant more, you can leave the seeds to just fall to the ground and they'll come back.

I love clematis. Mine is a dark purple that looks almost like velvet. It blooms twice in a season. When not in bloom the vine is still pretty.
