Why there is no fragrance in all kinds of flowers,even roses of US.

    they are bred for form and color, not fragrance, but you can still find fragrant roses. Catalogs will specify fragrant varieties. Also there are other flowers that are known for their scent. Freesias, jasmine, gardenias, lilies, and many more

    It was sacrificed in order to have bigger and brighter colors. Every time the original flowers are hybridized for looks you lose something. Red delicious apples are another example. To gain beauty they lost their flavor. Ditto tomatoes..

    They have been bred to be bigger and get more colorful and the result is lost fragrance. The same thing has happened to our tomatoes. They look pretty but lost that old tomato taste.

      you are absolutely right

      Why tomatos, onions,cauliflowers, ladyfingers, you name a vegitable , all are abnormally big in size look very healthy but when cooked and tasted they are nowhere compared to Vegitable grown ( used to be) in our country.
