Cedar planter- Should the wood be treated with anything?

I purchased a sandbox made of cedar which I intend to use for flowers. Should the wood be treated with anything before I plant my flowers?

Cedar will turn gray as its exposed to the elements, if you don't like that look, I would use an oil stain on it.
Cedar is naturally rot resistant, so it is the BEST type of wood imo for planters. I would recommend not adding any chemicals to the wood, in case you decide to plants edibles in it in the future. Chemicals can leak into your food.
Make sure it has drainage holes - otherwise it will be fine, but if worried or would prefer, you could line it, bit again don't forget drainage holes.......

I wouldn't treat it with anything, cedar is naturally resistant to moisture & bugs.
