To give an example of what I meant by a grill gazebo. 2 of these equal the exact width and depth of our deck. I know the condo association allows them too.

We live in a condo community and I'm trying to find a way to discreetly screen/enclose our roofless 8×16 deck. We want to allow our cats out, but need them to be safe. It doesn't have to be permanent, the screens can open and close, slide, whatever. I was considering 2 grill gazebos and attaching screen to them or coming up with something with PVC piping. I am open to anything at this point. Thanks

Build a pergola on the deck. Cover all sides with screening or chicken wire if you can get away with it.
look up catio...I’m sure there is a site some where for one...I rember watch ing a show about cats with a Jackson galaxy as host....

Home Owner Associations are notorious for watching for what they consider violations of their Rules and Regulations. Please read your R & R's carefully before spending money and time on something that will have to be removed on our patio. I'd just build a very large wood "box" type structure with screening for them and put in a cat climbing structure with places for them to hide and to lay down.
First see if it is permitted. Condo laws you know....
I wouldn't spend any money until you find out what's allowed. Talk to your neighbors as well as the Home owner;s Assoc. You might get approved for something, but your neighbors might not want to look at it which would result it its being removed.
Thank you everyone! Lots of good ideas. My main thing is that the cats have use of the entire deck like we do so unfortunately a Catio wouldn't work. I do think I could get away with a low key pergola, that's why I was even considering putting 2 grill gazebos side by side. That's not permanant and I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem if done tastefully, but I do like the pergola idea

Pergola are beautiful & there are so many things you can do with it, also it would be great for you & your cats. Nail a peace of carpet near bottom for cats to claw on, use your imagination and have fun.
