Why not try turning it into a mosaic like Notre Dame's Rose Window? There are earth friendly gel base paints which can turn your rock into a masterpiece and a neighborhood conversation starter. Remove the moss first and then let the moss grow over for added depth to the painting.

Post a picture here if it works out.

Use it as a dramatic backdrop! Put an indoor/outdoor rug in front with a small patio/bistro set on it, add some white Christmas lights or tiki torches, and some music. Enjoy!

(It would help to know what kind of rock)

(It would also help to know how tall that is... I can see it's big, but how big?)

Paints would likely peel off if there is excessive wetness in the rock... Will peel off if you choose the wrong paint. So, paint with plants:

Perhaps a climbing plant (wisteria, vines, ivy) and a mesh frame (even chicken wire) draped over part of the wall... as a green 'framing' element.

Or (as others suggested) plants that drape over it from the top. (many suggestions are tiny, and rather slow growing)

Some foreground landscaping might also help... a minor flowering tree - or 2 (redbud, crabapple, cherry, dogwood...) (Minor = 40ft tall when mature).

If you can't change, it draw attention From it!
