Dollar store clock is cheap, works and still useful, especially when you need an extra clock but don't want to spend too much for it. Yes, I have no complain with this clock, except its too simple. So here is what I did with this.
A dollar store clock. Simple and very practical.
Step 1: Disassemble all parts
Most of times the clock cover is made of plastic at dollar store. To remove this, flathead screw driver is useful one. This process is not difficult but just have to pay little attention when removing clock hands since they are not very strong sometimes.
Step 2: Removed parts and get ready to decorate it
Now it is the fun part begins. Using the clock paper sheet, have any design paper you like to make same shape one to replace original simple one. I think any papers can be used, but it may be better to use flat and not too thick one to avoid your clock hands getting stucked.
Step 3: Have new numbers of clock
The original one was just printed black, I chose to use gold glue pen for new numbers.
Step 4: Cover the frame
This is the final stage. Cover the frame with fabrics of your choice would be much nicer as well. For fabric, I have used woodworking glue and added gold glue pen lines.
Here is how it looks with my other stuff.
