A small bag of charcoal and a couple small paper bowls. Pour charcoal in bowls and place plates in fridge and freezer. Depending on what the is causing the smell, you may need to remove everything and wipe refrig with a cleaner.

I would first wash the fridge down, then put a couple of open boxes of baking soda on the shelves.

I agree with the baking soda .I have one in freezer and frig .I would wash it down with baking s first then add one to freezer and frig .

  • Wash the inside of the fridge then wipe down with vinegar to disenfect then rinse. Then place a box of baking soda in both the fridge and freezer. Replace once a month. Take the used baking soda and sprinkle in kitchen and bath drains, shower and bathtub drains and in toilets to freshen them up too. My dollar stores sell 2 boxes for 99 cents. Sometimes I run across a sale where I can get 3 or 4 boxes for a dollar, then I stock up for a few months.

I agree with Mary and Sandy but I would add to check under, behind, and the sides of the fridge. You may just find rot

Coffee grounds on a paper towel or something to lay them on out in the open. The very best method ever.

I agree with Mary and Sandy but I would add to check under, behind, and the sides of the fridge. You may just find rotting food there.

All good suggestions, I have also added a cotton ball with vanilla in a bowl after thoroughly cleaning, if baking soda wasn't enough.

Put a fresh box of baking soda in the fridge (opened!) and change every 2-3 months. (Pour it down the garbage disposal for additional smell reduction!)

Spray the inside of the refrig with plain white vinegar, that will deodorize it, then follow up with open boxes of baking soda, change them out after 1-2 months. Also check the drip pan underneath the refrig, they need to be cleaned out every so often.
