    From the space between boards? Use a small screwdriver to scrape it out! From the surface? A stiff bristled brush and elbow grease, then a "silly putty" or clay type material to pull up the embedded dirt

    I would recommend a steam cleaning. A professional company can do wonders if you can have them come in once or twice a year and then you just do the regular cleaning.
