Took off plastic tile, glue removal did not work well; can I wallpaper

    you will have to get all the glue off.what have you tried using?

    If the wall has bumps, you need to get it smooth. If there are indentations, you'll need to fill then in the sand it smooth. You can't just wallpaper over the problems. They need to be fixed.

    I would try using an electric sander first, if you haven't already. Wallpaper won't stick good on top of old glue.

    Thank you. I guess we will remove the wall. The walls are wood panels. Any hints on how to do that easily? My husband wants to remove the panels and put up new ones.

      Depending on the damage to the drywall behind the paneling, you may be able to put up wallpaper. You can fill the holes in with some spackle and then sand it smooth. Then you can do anything you want, even paint.

    Yes, the wall is very bumpy and ridges, too.
