    Check with library and see if they will take them or take them to a local ministry or Goodwill, Salvation Army, etc.

    Donation is always best. There have to be at least a dozen places in your area who would take them. Nursing homes, libraries, child care, Goodwill, thrift stores, even half price books will take them if you have one in your area.

    I have seen them made into countertop knife holders on Pinterest. If they are antique looking they might look great with three or five stacked and tied with a gingham or lace-type ribbon for display?

    Take them to some nursing homes or retirement homes. I'm sure they would appreciate them.

    My daughter stacked a couple of books on top of each other, cut out some of the center area and then planted succulents in them as centerpieces for their wedding.
