  • Have you tried a good soak in the kitchen sink with vinegar, baking soda and a squirter of dish soap? Put a dish towel down in the sink, place the baking dish on the towel, sprinkle with baking soda heavily, pour in enough vinegar to cover bottom of dish. Let bubble for a good 10 minutes or so. Then fill up sink with hot water and give it a squirter of dish soap and let soak for about a half hour.

To remove old baked on grease I have used Murphy's Oil Soap or a degreaser product.

  • you could try sprinkling with baking soda and then use some white vinegar, the mixture will bubble and perhaps help you scrub some of that stuff away

Have you tried putting it in the microwave for about 3 minutes with some water and lemon or lime juice mixed in? Nuke on high and let set for a few minutes to soften the baked on residue. You may have to repeat a few times if it is really bad, but patience helps. This will work easier if you stick with it each time the dish gets like this from Mac and cheese or what ever. Do it when you start clean up and by the time you are ready to work on it, it will be ready for you! Lol

Sprinkle a generous amount of salt in the bottom of the dish....put in a little bit of water to make a kind of paste and let it sit for a couple of hours. Then add a bit more water and scrub with a nylon scrubbie, the salt is like an exfoliator and helps lift off the baked on grease. You can also add a bit of Dawn dish soap when you scrub to help cut the grease even more.

Soaking, green Scotchbrite, and lots of rubbing. Works every time.

Hello! First, I would allow the dish to soak in hot water and a couple drops of Blue Dawn dish detergent. Blue Dawn cuts grease and the mix of the Blue Dawn and hot water will soften and loosen the baked on grease. After an hour or so, scrub with a stainless steel scrubbing pad. For really tough spots, pour a little vinegar on the area along with your detergent mix. The acidity in the vinegar will break down the baked on grease even further! Good luck!

Use a degreasing detergent like Dawn dishwashing liquid or Ajax. You might need to soak and scrub, then rinse and repeat once. If you've gotten off what you can, I recommend placing a little water in the pan and making a paste with baking soda. Rub the paste all over and let it sit. After about 15-20 minutes, it might have dried. Start scrubbing on the Pyrex dish while adding a little water to make it easier to scrub. Then rinse thoroughly.

You might not get everything off. Some will remain as glaze that is as good as permanent, but you can get most of the mess off, and it will still cook as well as it did. Be sure to grease the pan when necessary and cleanup should be pretty easy each time.

Use a little Dawn dishwashing detergent, and hot water and let it soak. After that scrape off as much as you can with a scrubbie, and then follow up with a stainless steel soap pad like SOS...
