Handmade Scented Sachets

Make these sweet smelling scented sachets for your drawers, linen cabinets, closets and more! These make wonderful handmade gifts and party favors too! This is a great way to use up those fabric scraps!
Grab some fabric and cut them into squares. You will need two squares the same size for each sachet. Or, one larger square (I'll explain below). These can be whatever size you want, but sachets are generally small and cute. I didn't measure, I just cut to a general size I wanted. Also, mix your choice of essential oils and uncooked rice in a bowl. This is going to be the filling for the sachet. I used lavender. Mmmm, smells so good!
I lined up my fabric squares with right sides facing together. Then I sewed three sides VERY well - you don't want that filling to come out. Carefully put your rice mixture into the open sachet. I used a spoon.

You can also try fabric glue to hold your sachet squares together.

Or - just use one large square, place the rice mixture in the center and gather up the sides around it and secure it. No sewing needed.

I love to sew! So I just sewed!
You don't want to fill your sachets all the way to the top because you need enough space to grab it, twist it and secure it with a rubber band, jute twine or ribbon. Make sure it's secure!

I used ticking stripe fabric and I love the way it looks with jute.

You can also sew all FOUR sides of this after you stuff it with filling. This makes a square shaped flatter sachet. PS : These make AMAZING heat packs too.

Gift them or use them yourself. You can customize them with the scents you prefer - just follow your nose.

My last pay check was $8500 working 12 hours a week online. My sisters friend has been averaging 14k for months now and she works about 20 hours a week. I can't believe how easy it was once I tried it out. This is what I do... http://www.Jobzon3.com
