Corner Decoration Idea

I moved a few months ago into a new place and there was this corner that I just didn't know what to do with. I had some watercolor paint lying around and got some fall inspiration and decided to try out something.
I first started with a pencil sketch, but the weather was terrible, so the light didn't really help for the picture. Sketching with a pencil is not a mandatory step before, but I usually feel more comfortable painting after I sketch it out.
The material I used, watercolor (mix the paint with water before painting) and some photo frames that I ended up using just the frame, removing the glass and back part of it. I used two different colors of ink; Raw Sienna and Yellow Ocher, mixing them up to find the tone I wanted.
Since we are dealing with watercolor, I did a few coats so I would get a bit of a volume effect, making some parts darker, some lighter.
You can do it by adding more coats of paint and using different water concentration when painting.
Be careful when painting the end of the branches, because since we mix the paint it with water, the mix can get pretty liquidy and drip if you take a big amount with the brush. Have a tissue or kitchen towel close by, if you need to clean anything quickly.
Let the paint dry before moving forward. After it''s dry you can also erase the pencil sketching with an eraser (white, so it won't leave marks on your wall) but I kind of like the pencil contrast, so I kept it on mine.
And final touch, I decided to hang the frames. I had already found the frames I wanted, but you can easily DIY them yourself if you are looking for something different!
Final result, I loved it! Hope you like the idea too!
