Would like to make the above item to put some items in belonging to my mum. Would love to be able to do an angel/butterfly design on this. Have not made anything before so something a beginner could do. Always inspired by the videos shown on this site

I've made several Shadow boxes, Hobby Lobby sells them, Buy the size box of your choice, get some hot glue , any embellishments you like. If it fits you can put it in. Take that backing off of the Shadow Box, Place what ever your going to put in it where you would like it, go back and hot glue everything into place. Place the box with the glass over the back part and flip it over and use the tabs to keep in place and use hot glue around the perimeter to seal . Add what hanger you want on the back and your dome. My parents loved them. Just use your imagination. Good luck.

Did she have a jewelry box or a favorite book? The jewel box is obviously the easy step. But if she had a favorite book or story, you can glue the pages together and then open the top cover, cut out the center of the pages to store you keepsakes in there. You can also paint MOM or her name on the top or inside cover

Your very Welcome, BTW, just to make it clear, you want to glue the items to the matting , you can also buy colored matting of your choice and cut to size. Also you'll want to hot glue the glass to the frame. Any other questions feel free to ask.
