Make a wet paste of Bartenders Secret and let it sit, occasionally dampening it needs be. Use a non-scratching scrubber to wipe down. Actually you can start the process with Ultrafine steel wool, but wet and only on the crud.

Baking soda and Dawn dish soap, mixed into a paste, let sit on the spot for a few minutes. Then mist vinegar over the baking soda. This will cause it to bubble up. Let that sit for a few minutes, misting more vinegar if needed to keep up the bubbling action. Then use a non-scratch pad and rub the spot vigorously. Reapply the baking soda paste and vinegar as needed to remove the entire spot. Good luck!

Greased lightning (if you can find it) spray on. Let it sit for 10 mins then wipe off. That stuff gets paint off everything, even clothes if you don’t dry them first. Tied with magic eraser in my cleaning box

Start by taking the black disc off. Next take the burner off, this is what the gas comes through to make the flame. Wash with soapy water. Dry the burners in the toaster oven @300 degrees. Let cool 16 minutes. Then with an SO.S pad lightly. First put wet paper towels over the part to clean, let it sit about a half hour, wipe the 7se SOS.

Baking soda mixed with water so it is a paste and a Magic Eraser. Works every time. It may just take a few tries at it.

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is always my "go to" for gunky-cooked-on stuff like this. I have a glass top range and almost always make a mess when I cook...not on purpose but, apparently this is just "how I roll" when cooking. When a pot boils over on the hot burner, it is instantly cooked into this crusty, hard-to-scrub mess and I have to wait until the burner cools off before I can clean it up. After I get the gunk cleaned off, there is usually a mark left on the glass that only comes up with the help of the Magic Eraser.

    Good Luck!

I used to clean apartments between tenants and the stove was always the worst! We used a razor blade paint scraper. It worked great! You must be careful tho as you don't want to scratch the surface or cut your self.

Although I have a stainless steel cook top, I find that Barkeeper works fine without scratching the surface. That would be my first choice. Next choice would be baking soda mixed w/water to form a paste and rub with the blue sponge scratcher side.
