I saw this DIY hanging silver bells on pinterest and thought these would be perfect for our fence during the holidays! We have a large house and these large bells will look great this hoiday season!
I started with various size plastic pots. I bought the smaller and medium sized ones at the Dollar Tree. The largest ones you see, I purchased at Walmart.
One size had texture to it which I thought would give it a nicer look.

I purchased a few cans of Krylon's Colormaster in 'Brillant Aluminum" at Walmart.
To make it easier to move the bells up and down the ribbon, I hung them on a hanger in the garage. Here are 4 of them.
I drilled a hole in the bottom of each pot. Be careful with this. If you press to hard it may split the plastic. I used 6 inch eye bolts for the larger pots and 4 inch for the smaller ones.
I bought them Lowes. I put the eye hook in and then thredded the bolt on the inside. I attached a plastic red Christmas ball to either a thin piece of jute or regular red ribbon. Then attached tied it just above the bolt and then tightened it. For the Christmas balls -I glued the top to the ball. I used small balls for the little pots/bells and regular size ones for the larger ones.I then used red velvet two inch wide ribbon and thred it through the eye hook. I started with the bottom one first. With the next larger bell, I thred the ribbon through the eyehook twice. I didn't make a knot, because I wanted to be able to move the bells up and down the ribbon.
Once I postioned the bells on the ribbon, I was able to place where and how I wanted the bells to hang.
I knew I wanted at least 4, but made 6 anyway. Each set of bells would have 7 total....3 small, 2 medium and 2 larger ones.
I wanted to see what they would like against our fence. I will add a bow to the top this holiday season. I will add a new picture later this year!

I saw those little pots at Dollar Tree today and was thinking I should buy some but no project came to mind. It looks like I'm headed back to DT tomorrow. I love this idea! Thank you for sharing.
