I found Tiles worked great on an outside wooden staircase.
Use Wet and Forget
Start with a stiff brush in some bleach. Then it needs to be powerwasher, and that should do it. Rent a powerwasher from Homedepot or Lowe's, if you don't have one. Wear a mask and gloves.

Use Tea Tree Oil. The Melaleuca oil, not the American type.
To remove mold and mildew from your house: Mix up a solution of 1 part bleach to 10 parts water and spray in a pump up sprayer. Allow to remain on for 10-20 minutes, then rinse using a garden hose.
