If it's quilting your talking about, check you local paper for clubs in your area. The local library has clubs that meet there, see if you can find someone to help you, hands on.

Amazon has great books instructing the way to quill. Also tools and beginner's kits. Also try Michael's, Joann's and Create and Craft. This is where I got some my starting supplies. Also look into husking, a type of quilling. Hope this helps.

I got cut off on my answer to you so will try again. I suggested you try Lake City Crafts for your materials and all other supplies. I started with a large sewing needle in a wine bottle cork and cut and filled the end to make my needle. but to your problem. it looks like the wings are strips of needed length of paper folded in the up and down (like and according)the eye could be a tight circle of paper rolled using glued paper from light to dark then roll.also I have done Owl eye just using a dark roll of tight circle the use a marking pen to high light the areas needed. I hope that this helps some. I did an pencil drawing of an Indian chief side view then fill it in with different color and types of quilling pieces. it did pretty good. I won 1st place at the county fair about 5 years ago. Good luck and don't give up. let the ideas flow . you'll do fine. the other suggested , are a great source and Now that they are in my area I use Hobby Lobby also. the are great also.

God Bless you and good luck Susan. Vi Nigels --Panama City Florida.
