Transform your old furniture into a beautiful piece using just a few simple items. This quick transformation would look great on any old piece of furniture!
Take apart your piece. For me, that meant taking out all the draws and taking off the knobs, then wiping down the whole bedside table.
Next, sand down the top layer of the stain or finish on your piece. I sanded down the table top and sides of this bedside table and made sure everything was as smooth as could be. Make sure to sand down the drawers too, so that the paint adheres well and the whole piece has a uniform look. This will really give you a nice, clean canvas for your transformation.
Then, just add a coat of paint (or two) of your favourite colour. Finish the look with a top coat of a glaze to make the paint last longer. You can also distress it a little using whatever method you think works best—there are a few out there.

This will help your piece look a little more antique & give it a story. I love how adding a little age to a piece of furniture can make it look like it's had an entire lifetime before landing in your home.
Finally, add some new hardware of your favourite colour and design.
