A painter friend of mine says denatured alcohol is what he uses...I had the same problem in my home.
The alcohol works, so do the Magic Eraser sponges.
Ventilation, ventilation. Whatever you use.
Goo gone paint remover. Spray on let sit few minuets works great. Get at Home Depot or Lowes.
Latex is very simple. Soak it for a few minutes in warm soapy water. While it is warm and wet, rub over it with a green nylon scrubby. Then wipe it out with a paper towel. No need for harsh chemicals in this situation
