    Hi Ldover73

I'm assuming you want to hang the throw on your wall. So if I'm correct ~ Here is a product that works beautifully, doesn't do any damage to your throw and can be painted or stained depending on what you want. Hope this helps. These can be purchased online or at Walmart, Jo-Ann fabric, Staples. Hope this helps :)

Easiest for me is to make a hanging sleeve and attach it to the top of the back, then use cafe curtain rod and brackets to hang. Sleeve can be made of any fabric, must go end to end horizontally, and be wide enough to accommodate the rod.

I have not read the other answers but my idea is to sew tabs of contrasting color to fit over a decorative curtain/drapery rod. Attach the rod to the wall or hang from the ceiling. My mother did this to hang a tapestry she made and it looked great. This also allows for easy removal for cleaning.

You can make one by tying ribbon on each end of a 2' dowel that is 1" diameter. Use enough ribbon to allow for it to be hung. Drape the throw over the dowel and hang it on a hook secured to a stud!

I hung a heavy tapestry on a wall once by using a strip of carpet tack, like what is used around the perimeter of a room to hold carpet in place. Easy to find at home improvement stores.

I put a couple of decorative scoop shape curtain holders, and cheap light weight curtain rod set in the bottom of the scoop. Great to hang my beautiful silk embroidered blanket from China in the center wall of my living room. Looks beautiful and I can take it down to cuddle if I am cold.
