if you have a community center, check with them...some have a tool library, some can set you up with experienced diy voulteers. It varies by region.

I would contact the nurseries in the area as well as the City to see if there are any Senior programs. You can also go on line or to your local libraries to research layout, ground preparation in your area, differences in sod in your area. Good luck and post photos!

I can't find any programs of that type in your area. Call your community center or Chamber of Commerce and ask them for information. If your town can't help give us here at Hometalk a chance to help you. We will do our best to give you advice on any project you may have. I wish you well, and let us know what project you want to tackle first!!

I know Home Depot has such things for kids, maybe adults too? This is a great idea. Maybe even a library could have a "mixer" where people with certain talents could man tables or such and be available to others for questioning!

I know exactly what you mean. We have three children scattered over the USA. We are in our late 70s, and our daughter wants us to sell out and move to her town before one of us really needs assistance. That's going to be hard to do, both mentally and physically. Let me know how you get along and see if there are things we can help you with.
