Toads in the house!

I’ve found a toad in my bedroom for the last three nights. It’s not the same toad each time. My bedroom has a door to the outside, but I think I would see a toad come in when I open the slider! Anyone know what’s going on?

Do you have a window air conditioner installed. If you have double hung windows and there is an air conditioner and you have not sealed the area between the two windows frogs can get in! True story!

They miraculously get in my barn tack room all the time. If they can get their head anywhere under the door, they can get the rest of them in. Good thing is , they are rather harmless and they eat bugs! I just pick them up and move them outside.

Do you have a cat? Even if they are only allowed access to a screened porch or balcony it is amazing what they will bring in the house.

Thanks! No air conditioner, but I have three dogs. I don’t think they brought one in because toads release a toxin that makes dogs foam at the mouth. I don’t mind toads, but I sure don’t want to step on one in the night!

My cat brings in lizards and delivers them to the dog for dismemberment and snacking.
