Here is a fun idea for repurposing an old window for your garden or deck!

Flower boxes look gorgeous anyplace you put them and this one stands on it's own.

I began this project by cleaning off the chips and glass from an old window I found on the side of the road. The window sat in my yard for a while so it needed a little cleaning.

I built a box around the base of the window using reclaimed wood from old dresser drawers.

I created my own shade of "garden purple" and painted the entire piece with with this pretty color.

This project was now coming to life! The color brought the whole project together!

I sealed the paint with a spray sealer for outdoors.

I stenciled a garden stencil to the front of the flower box section using one of my very favorite stencils.

These stencils come in many designs and can be purchased through the link on my blog post.

I'd love for you to stop by Homeroad.net by clicking the GO box at the bottom of this page to see the rest of the project.

The planter box came out amazing and I will show you all the tips and tricks to making it work at Homeroad.net!
