Put cleaning strength vinegar in a squirt bottle (like the ones used for ketchup or mustard) and squirt the undiluted vinegar directly on the weed. Breaking the top off the weed and getting the vinegar in the root head works best.

You really need to use the white vinegar other than the regular household white vinegar..I wasted money and time in the high heat {that's when you are supposed to put on unwanted grass and weeds} and consequently went to store and bought a name brand week killer. I sprayed and applied direct..Like I said, trial and error to each his own. Good luck!

Another "recipe" is to mix 1 quart white vinegar, 1/8 cup salt, and a squirt of Dawn dish soap. You can put it in a squirt bottle or a plastic spray bottle and simply apply to the weeds. In about 24 hours they will be wilted and in another day or so they will dry up and be able to be removed without any pulling. Just remember, do not apply to any plants you don't want to kill. Yes spray or squirt onto the weeds directly.

A 50/50 mixture of vinegar to water sprayed using a spray bottle directly to the weeds will dry them out and allow you to rake it out
