FARM HOUSE TABLE AND CHAIRS REDO & A MARRIAGE!
Seeing that the dining room can be seen from the kitchen I wanted everything to be Farmhouse style. So I brought in a Better Homes & Gardens table that I bought new in the box from Good Will and I gave it the paint treatment as I did on the kitchen cabinets using Rustoleum paint a scraper and a yardstick for making the faux wood panel lines. I added the stencil/ vinyl spackling treatment to the chair tops and painted them in black. And also a surprise furniture "Marriage". I also had a light colored bench that I painted black and used that same farm house technique. NO sandpaper was used for this procedure.
The table started as a maple colored wood that I gave a good sanding to before painting , The places that I used the scraper I just painted some all weather light brown stain to avoid more peeling so that the stain sealed everything well.
Just love Black and white!
This is the chair before with the spackle treatment if it seems that there are too much rough ness just do a simple light sanding.
I just added a little light wax to the stencil
The bench was given the same Farm house glory!
Srubbable and functional
A before of the bench
Alittle peek at the furniture marriage, In theleft hand corner is my black bakers rack, I had a vintage wooden dresser mirror seeing that the mirror broke I was looking for a place to put this , it fits perfect with the bakers rack.
Another of the bakers rack, this actually works well because it protects glassware from slipping off a well
I made a skirt out of some whispy material so I could use the large bottom for storage . Come join me at Sweet Tea N' Salty Air to see more
