Remove Knife Scratches From Porcelain Plates

I was looking to donate a stack of white porcelain plates, but they were covered in silver scratches from knives. This happens naturally over time, but I didn’t want to give them away looking like that... so I grabbed my container of “Bar Keeper’s Friend*” and my yellow cleaning gloves!
(*Side Note: This stuff works miracles on so many things. If you don’t have a container, you should pick one up and keep it on hand.)
All I do is rinse the plate to get it damp, sprinkle some of the “BKF“ cleanser on top, and then scrubbed with a wet sponge (I personally prefer the kind with the scrub on one side). This step can take some elbow grease depending on how many scratches you have on the plates. keep scrubbing until you are satisfied with the results and then rinse. (Wash plates before using.)
I did not take any step by step photos, but there are a few before and after pics below.
BEFORE...
Grab your plate and give it a quick rinse, and then sprinkle some “BAR KEEPER’S FRIEND” Cleanser on it and start scrubbing!
(Note: Use gloves and be careful not to inhale dust from container when dispensing.)
AFTER!
Scrub until you are satisfied with the results and then rinse and dry.
BE SURE TO WASH PLATES BEFORE USING.

I Love BKF and have used it for the same you on your dishes. I even use it on my smooth stove and it works great, never a scratch. I use it for my stainless steel pots and pans, on tile that's gotten scratched, etc., etc.
