After house power washed we have “fog” between 2 lower window panes. Is there a way to fix this? Thank you 😊

I think you may just have to wait for the moisture to dry on its own. This is an indication that you need to have the panels replaced. To be sure, consult a window expert. Good luck

I believe this means that the seal was compromised which let in moisture. Call a glass repair shop and ask if this can be fixed.

The seal is probably broken. If they're still under warranty, you can get the whole pane replaced.

  • Probably just hafta let it dry up. Unless you feel like pulling one of the glass panels off but that sounds like a bad idea

  • I'm sorry to say your seal is compromised like Melbrooks said. No way to clean between panes. There's a special gas between the panes. Coming from someone who loves clean windows, I've had to learn to live with the dry film the moisture leaves. Each year it gets worse :(

Seal is broken. Only way to solve the problem is really buying a new window.

There is no way to repair. The seal is compromised. The inert gas usually Argon has leaked out and air with moisture has replaced it. The glass panel will need to be replaced not the whole window. Ace Hardware sells replacement double pane glass panels and also install.

Yes there is a way to fix the window!

go to an Auto Store an it’s cheaper to go through them , they take it out an put the new in all from the outside.

No Carpenter to hire to rip apart the framework .

An yes it can be done this way because we just did this to three of our windows in the house we bought a couple years ago.

    And is cheaper .

Check it out they can even do patio doors too.

That is what everyone is suggesting. Replace the glass panels. Penny asked if her existing windows could be repaired. Which cannot. Not all glass panels can be replaced as yours have. On some the window sash needs to be removed to access screws on the frame holding the glass panel. I have installed and repaired many double and triple pane windows. Not all are built alike.

    i stand corrected.

Anderson you can replace the glass on some others YOU CAN NOT.

Then you have to buy a whole new sash, if it’s to old a window may have to buy a whole new window.

As I sit here an reply am asking husband, he’s a carpenter, craftsman and use to run a lumberyard.

so to you William thank you.
