try watering if you see them 'go'....otherwise, rake really well, toss some seed made for small areas and water daily...it should fill in!

The most obvious answer is to go out with your dog with a bucket of water and rinse.
Train your dog to only go in a certain area, then you will not have a lawn full of burns.
