There is one growing under my deck and I would like it gone as it is growing up through the boards

They are tough shrubs. You have to dig them up, or cut them off at the crown, drill holes in the stump and add stump killer. Keep killing the baby seedlings that will continue to come up for awhile. I’ve had mine chopped down and am tackling the stump. I try to pull up the seedlings when I see them and bif they’re out. Of the way I spray them with weedkiller, preferably one that’s environmental friendly.

Yes, I have your problem too and i sympathize completely. Each and every year I cut them off and something always grows back. If possible dig them up and dispose. Good luck to you.

Use root killer between the boards on the deck. That should take care of it.
