Faux Flagstone Patio
I pressure washed my patio, painted it, then sprinkled what I call "glitter" (made for concrete floors) on the paint before it dried. Looks very nice. You can find the "glitter" in the paint section of HD.
Scrub as much paint off as you can. Valspar apparently makes a pretreatment for painting concrete which increase its porosity.
Then do what you will, stain or paint.
