What to do in a basement that has a water problem when you've done all

Start with a sump pump.you may need to dig the pit. It gives the water a place drain to, the sump pump kicks it back outside. I was having major water puddles when I moved in. The first thing I did was to bank the foundation with dirt. Next...covered the window wells. There are plastic covers for them. Extend your gutters ten feet or so from the down spouts. You might need to dig a swell...very shallow large puddle..hold water and slowly the water leaves. The dry loc stuff? I was told it needed to go on the outer walls, not the inside walls, floor. A French drain or two will help.

the cost will vary by region. by the time I put other interventions in place, the place was staying mostly dry. The drain is a plastic tube with perforations at regular interval. Most will cover it with a material similar to weed block, to keep the dirt out and keep it from blocking the holes.. a trench is dug, rockes under the perferated pipe and on top. There was a video on you tube that I watched.

Dfm is on spot except for one thing. Drylock does go on the inside. What you have is hydrostatic pressure under the flloor. As the water table rises ir need to go somewhere. Any crack, crevice, gap below the waer line is an entrance. A french drain is installed at the foundation bottom. It catches the water before it can build up pressure and seep through the walls/floors.
