DIY Driftwood Mirror Frame Without Nails or Screws
Hardwood framing is usually the best depending upon how large your mirror is. Hardwood will have enough strength to hold a heavy mirror. Small mirrors under 12" square can have a pine or other softwood frame. A groove must be cut in order to retain the mirrror edges, something that can be done with a router or router table if you have use of one. A softwood backing to cover the entire back can be installed with brads being careful to keep them away from the recessed glass of the mirror. Good luck!
You could use mosaic tiles around the frame. Or if you have any shells from the beach you could stick them round the frame.
