What is the best way to get rid of wild violet in the lawn?
Hi all, I am wondering how to get rid of wild violets. I have tried Preen weed killer, Scott's weed and feed, and even a Pennington weed killer and the violets seem immune. Does anyone have a sure thing to get rid of them?

Something with dicamba in it should work.

Fall is the best time of year to control the wild violets. It's a perennial weed with a long tap root on it. Use a broadleaf killer that contains 2,4-D or Dicamba, and it will selectively kill the violets without damaging the grass.
A product I use, Weedmaster has both.
