I took everything out and put in drawer bins based on the items I intended to keep in the drawer. I separated paper/pens/scissors/screwdriver/tape measure/pliers/command hooks in one drawer. You can determine what you want to store in each drawer and then sort things out accordingly. You do not have to purchase bins, but can make them from cereal boxes, Velveeta boxes, check blank boxes, etc. and cover them with contact paper for a little extra sturdiness.
Buy some portable file cabinets, they come in hard sterdy plastic. You can pile one on the top of the other. This will help you get organized, and buy some file folders.
You might have started some projects and then stopped or forgot them, so go ahead and finish them...I have glass jars with pencils, or scissors, or pens, markers, etc...Please don't just shift the items from one drawer to the next...get rid of unnecessary items...JMO

Purge everthing you don’t Really need. Most “stuff@ is not useful. Then get dividers and separate
