Silver coins can be cleaned using aluminum foil and baking soda.
Line a non-metal pan with aluminum foil.
Add about a 1/2 cup soda to each qt. of water.
Bring to a boil and remove from heat.
Drop in coins and quickly remove.
They will be cleaned immediately.
Then drop them into pre-prepared warm water with a dish washing liquid.
Rinse and buff with a soft cloth.
Other coins can be usually be cleaned with a large eraser.
This method is good on any silver from jewelry to your tableware.

Coat both sides of coin in Texas Pete hot sauce. Let soak for 20 minutes. Wipe off with a dry cloth. If need be, repeat.
