My guest bathroom was painted white yrs ago. It was looking old and dated. I decided to make the change over the weekend. My sister was staying with me and I wanted to surprise her!!!!!!
The shower curtain was OK but didn’t go with the muted shades in the guest bedrooms. I‘ve never been a fan of the toilet seat sets...😱
The towels were drab and not very welcoming. I had to keep the vinyl floor for now.
I used regular curtains hung on a spring rod which accentuated the 9ft ceilings. The plastic liner hung on the original shower curtain rod.
The vanity was painted a boring, drab brown (originally oak stain)I decided to paint it a grey along with the mirror. I added the stickers purchased at Dollar Tree. ( They have awesome selection of stickers)
I had the shelf. I used Martha Stewart chalk paint 2 coats on tray. Then wrote bathe!!! The towels (WalMart) and rug (Ollie’s)
The candle holder originally gold and red was spray painted grey. The vase was actually a thermos and greenery purchased at AC Moore.
Suggested materials:
  • Most of the materials were on hand. The towels, rug, thermos/vase greenery, stencil were purchased   (Ollie’s, WalMart, AC Moore, Dollar Tree)

The room is much classier and updated now with the softer coordinated colours. Keeping to a subtle design on the mirror rather than going overboard gives the room a more professional finish.

I wish I had a sister who might go to all that work just because I was staying over.
